Description

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select is a Tennessee whiskey, with this particular release being selected for the Volunteer State Squires in 2018. It is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and undergoes the Lincoln County Process of charcoal mellowing. Each bottle is drawn from a single barrel, selected for its distinctive character, often from the upper floors of the barrelhouses where greater temperature variations intensify flavor. It offers a robust character with notes of caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, and subtle fruit.

Nose
Inviting aromas of caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, and a hint of spice. Sweet notes of honey and sugar shards combine with butterscotch. Also notes of banana and vanilla, like a sweet cream, with hints of apple peel and cinnamon.
Palate
Rich and creamy, with layered flavors of caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, and subtle spice. Sweet flavors of maple syrup, brown sugar, and caramel, with banana, tobacco, and graham cracker. Full bodied and layered with dark toffee, vanilla bean, baking spice, and lightly charred oak. Ripe fruit undertones and a touch of black pepper.
Finish
Smooth and smoky, with a lingering warmth and refined complexity. Medium length with more herbal tea, pepper and cinnamon sticks with dusty oak. A gentle exit with some lingering sweet corn and cinnamon spice. Long and warming with lingering oak spice, sweet caramel, and a smooth Tennessee whiskey softness.
