Description
The Pepper family brand of whiskey is the oldest and most legendary whiskey brand in both Kentucky and American history. This James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Bourbon is rich, complex, and made with a high-rye mash bill (60% Corn, 36% Rye, 4% Malted Barley). It is aged 3-4 years in new, charred American oak, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 100 proof. The brand was relaunched in 2008, with the 1776 label introduced in 2012, and is currently sourced from distilleries in Indiana or Kentucky, then cut to proof and hand bottled at the Historic James E. Pepper Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky.
