Description
James Eadie's Trade Mark 'X' is a blended Scotch whisky that revives a historic blend dating back to the 19th century. The brand was relaunched by James Eadie's great-great-grandson, Rupert Patrick, who tracked down Mr. Eadie's ledgers and sampled surviving bottles from the 1940s to reconstruct the blend. It is crafted from select single malts and grains from distilleries James Eadie himself purchased from, including some that have long ceased production. The whisky is matured in American oak and sherry wood, and bottled at 45.6% ABV. It is described as an elegant, peaty dram, offering a glimpse into the art of blending from the first Golden Age of Scotch whisky.
