Description

James Eadie's Trade Mark X Blended Scotch Whisky is a revival of a historic blend dating back to the 19th century, first established in 1854 and trademarked in 1877. The blend was recreated by James Eadie's great-great-grandson, Rupert Patrick, using whiskies from many of the same distilleries as the original recipe. It is bottled at 45.6% ABV and is non-chill filtered.

Nose
Sweet notes of icing sugar and raisins, followed by oily, lightly peated qualities like soot, soft earth, and freshly cut hay. Hints of dark chocolate, sultanas, prunes, marzipan, chili, and salt also emerge.
Palate
Spicy mint chocolate, syrup, plums, prunes, and roasted coffee beans. Gentle peat and soft smoke linger, introducing a juicy quality, with notes of sweet nuts, malted grains, and earthy tones.
Finish
A long and pleasant aftertaste with soft peat, hints of bitter dark chocolate, juicy apricot, and pear notes.
