Description
Established in 1780 by John Jameson, the sprawling Bow Street Distillery in the heart of Dublin was described as 'a city within a city'. This 12-year-old Special Reserve Irish whiskey was originally known as '1780' and was renamed in 2002. It is matured in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, contributing to its complex flavors of toasted wood, spice, and sherry. [cite: 1, 6, 9, Scotch Whisky Auctions]
