Description

This is a 17-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Jefferson's Presidential Select series, distilled in 1991 and bottled in February 2009. It is a wheated bourbon, sourced from Stitzel-Weller barrels. Jefferson's Bourbon is headed by the father and son team, Trey and Chet Zoller, and this bourbon pays homage to Thomas Jefferson. This particular bottle is Batch #2 and bottle number 2984.

Sweet baked apples with brown sugar, earthy, freshly dug soil, tropical fruits with raspberry jam spread over toasted grain, toffee nougat, salted butter, old tea chest oak.
Palate
Sweet, then dry, breakfast tea tannins, smoky dry oak, warm cinnamon, paprika spice, dry brazil nut, blackcurrant jam, dried apple, smooth buttery caramel, corn, vanilla, rye notes.
Finish
Long, nutty, oaky, smoked paprika spiced, incredibly smooth, short but satisfying, very little bite, orange spice, vanilla, tobacco, molasses.
