Description

This is the 200th anniversary edition of the John Walker & Sons Private Collection, created by Master Blender Jim Beveridge. This 28-year-old blend is said to contain some of the rarest casks available, including 'ghost stocks' from long-closed distilleries such as Pittyvaich, Cambus, and Port Ellen. It is an exclusive and limited-edition blended Scotch whisky that celebrates the journey of John Walker & Sons, drawing inspiration from the exotic flavors of the 1820s when John Walker first opened his grocery store. The whisky is presented in a heavy decanter-style bottle within a large presentation case.

A complex, rich whisky with layers of fruit aromas such as sultana and fig, balanced with warming spices and a soft, rolling smoke. Hints of candied ginger, berries, brown sugar, aromatic spices, honeycomb, milk chocolate, coffee beans, golden syrup, gingerbread, juicy tropical fruits (pineapple, mango), coconut, beeswax polish, and liquorice. Palate
Delicious layers of spice mingling with sweet honey and rich molasses. Waves of sultanas, cocoa beans, and herbal notes are carried on wisps of soft smoke.
