Nose
Wonderfully mellow and rounded, with dry smokiness artfully mixed with the sweetness of raisins. Notes of oak, crisp spice, dried fruit, pastries, berry fruits, aniseed, cedar, and citrus. Hints of hay, barley, and subtle wood smoke.
Palate
Supple and balanced, offering layers of dried fruits, citrus smoke, honey, sweet spice, and vanilla. A velvety combination of vanilla, honey, and rose petals, broadening to include zesty orange, hazelnut, sherry, and dark chocolate. Good toffee, chocolate, and hints of very wistful smoke.
Finish
A rich and luxuriously long, rounded smoky finish with velvety chocolate. Floral, oaky, with dried fruit, spice, and honey. A slight burn carries a long honey finish with a wisp of smoke.
