Nose: Aroma of bittersweet chocolate, caramelized oranges, a touch of tobacco, hazelnuts, honey, sherry, orange zest, a whisper of smoke and sandalwood.
Palate: Roasted nuts, smoky chocolate, rich fruits (pears, dates), toasted bread, delicate brown spices, dark chocolate, kumquats, creamy vanilla, dried fruits, gentle pepper, toffee, honey, dried fruit, smoky oak, spice, malt.
Finish: Incredibly smooth, touch of pecan pie, milk chocolate, peppercorn, figs, soft smoke, long, smooth glow of figs and spice, floral, oaky, good length, honey.

The fruit gives this blend a welcome lift: pears and dates sit alongside the brighter notes of caramelized orange and kumquat. There’s plenty of darker company too, with chocolate, roasted nuts and a whisper of smoke, so the fruit doesn’t make the character feel overly sweet. That balance is what draws me in; the long, smooth finish with figs and spice sounds like a fitting close. A rich, layered direction, with the fruit still easy to pick out.
