Description

One of Scotland's best-known blended Scotch brands and the flagship whisky property of drinks giant, Diageo. Johnnie Walker Double Black is a smokier and more intense interpretation of Johnnie Walker Black Label, created by Master Blender Jim Beveridge. It was originally released into the travel retail market in early 2011. This 'Inspiring Stories' Limited Design Edition series features unique artistic bottle designs inspired by compelling narratives, with eleven different photos in the series. The whisky is matured in heavily charred oak casks, using peaty whiskies from the West Coast of Scotland, including Caol Ila, to enhance its smoky character.

Short and dry, ground pepper, BBQ sauce, oak tannins, plasticine, lingering and warm smoky spice from oak-aged casks, smouldering spice, tar, bonfire, charcoal, honeycomb, dried apple with black pepper, salty liquorice, malt, and cold ashes.
