Description
An Island malt whisky distillery on the remote Hebridean Isle of Jura. Despite being closed for the majority of the 20th century, its was re-opened by Charles Mackinlay & Co in the 1960s and is today part of the Alliance Global Group via its Whyte & Mackay division. Crafted in Jura's exceptionally tall stills, this Scottish island whisky has been aged for a minimum of 18 years, maturing in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks before a finish in Bordeaux red wine barriques.
