Description

Hailing from Jura distillery, this single malt spent a decade maturing in a single cask between April 2012 and May 2022. This cask was selected by independent bottler Douglas Laing, who released a total of 376 bottles for its Provenance series. It was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 46% ABV.

Nose
Zesty lemon drizzle cake, buttered brioche, distant smoked oak. Rich oak gives way to caramel and gentle spices balanced by a touch of smoke.
Palate
Lemon curd and candied almonds follow mouthfuls of vanilla cream, prunes, and buttered popcorn. Thick vanilla cream with citrus peel notes, sugared almonds and dried apricots.
Finish
Crumbly vanilla fudge, stewed orchard fruits with honey, and sweet, nutty malt. A melted butter character lingers long alongside toffee and poached pears.
