Description

Jura The Bay 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a tribute to the maritime landscape of the Isle of Jura. This 12-year-old expression was originally released for the Travel Retail market. It is matured in American White Oak ex-Bourbon barrels and then finished in casks that previously held 15-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry, aiming to bring sweetness and depth to Jura's slightly peated, often coastal spirit. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered.

Palate
Full-bodied, creamy, notes of raisins, caramel, spicy oak, sweet sherry and roasted nuts, stem ginger, stewed berries, a hint of hickory, crumbly fudge.
Finish
Long, smooth and elegant, with lingering sweetness, subtle spice and a hint of salty sea air, a smidge of liquorice pokes out on the finish, along with more toffee sweetness.
