Description

This is the inaugural release in Jura's Two-One-Two range, a series of annual limited edition bottlings, celebrating the small community of 212 islanders on Jura. Distilled in 2000, this 13-year-old single malt was matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in Chinkapin oak casks before being bottled in 2014 at 47.5% ABV. Only 6,000 bottles were released.

Nose
Aromas of sweet cake, especially lemon cake, followed by butterscotch and freshly ground cinnamon - lightly fruity notes in the background.
Palate
Initially mild and sweet - again light notes of fresh pastries - now clearly fruity with strong notes of ripe red apples, green pears, apricots and peaches - slightly nutty notes.
Finish
Rich notes of baklava, with sweet nuttiness lingering.
