Description

Kanosuke Distillery single malt whisky is distilled, matured and bottled in Kyushu, the most southerly of Japan's four main islands. The Komasa family were pioneers in barrel-ageing shochus and bring this expertise in maturation to the production of Kanosuke Distillery's whiskies. Situated on Japan's longest sand beach, the distillery features a stunning tasting room called The Mellow Bar. This 'Single Malt Kanosuke 2021 SECOND EDITION' was produced using all 3 of the distillery's pot stills, aged for 3 years in several varieties of oak barrels, with re-charred bourbon barrels as key, and bottled at cask strength.

Palate
Rich, thick spiced honey, cinnamon, vanilla, orchard fruits (spiced apples), black tea notes, acidity, oaky astringency, grapefruit, peach, apricot.
Finish
Noticeably drying and more bitter, fades into granulated brown sugar and light honey, acidity, touch of oak, elegant sweetness and pleasant bitterness, hint of salinity.
