Description

This Unique Cuvée is made from a blend of 1999 and 2000 single malt Japanese whiskies from the Karuizawa Distillery. This special edition was bottled in 2023 by independent bottler Samaroli, in collaboration with Dekanta, to celebrate Samaroli's 55th anniversary. It comes with a hand-blown glass decanter created by renowned Murano glassmaker Simone Cenedese and is housed in an olive tree wooden box.

Palate
Medium viscosity, aged leather, bittersweet cocoa, elegant wisp of smoke, soft velvety texture with deep oak spices, rich woods, pleasing sweetness. Notes of cinnamon apples, stewed ginger, rancio, old leather, dark chocolate bitterness, unburnt tobacco, leafiness, and confit plums.
Finish
Long, with fading ginger, baked apples, gentle malt, complex rancio fade, gentle dark chocolate, and enduring bittersweet notes.
