A rich, spice-led character.
copper.tram19 SeptThe dark manuka honey and black treacle give the documented spice something sweet to push against. Cloves and a drying, long finish make this feel more weighty than easygoing. That contrast is appealing, though the dense character may be a lot to sit with.

The smoke stays in the background here: the palate offers a hint of smoky peat rather than making it the focus. That suits the dense combination of black treacle and bitter dark chocolate, with cloves and fruit, malt and spice adding complexity. The drying, exceptionally long finish sounds like a strong counterpoint to the sweeter notes, carrying through into exotic spice and vintage leather. A richly layered character, though the smoky element is modest.
