Description

The first commercial single malt whisky distillery in Taiwan, built by the King Car Group in 2005 and producing its first spirit the following year. The distillery takes its name from the indigenous Kavalan people of Taiwan's Kabalan Plain and the brand was launched in December 2008.

Sweet and fruity with notes of red apples, lemongrass, raw leather, fresh cut wood, dark chocolate, almonds, woody caramel, cherry jam, prune, bramble, orange juice, mossy notes, light herbs, and tobacco.
Palate
Rich, oily, and intensely sweet with prominent Oloroso character, dark chocolate sauce, cardamom, treacle tart, ginger spices, dried fruit, coffee, caramel, red fruits, sugary dates, plums, blackcurrants, cherries, polished wood, cedar, clove, aniseed, and walnuts.
Finish
Long and warming with spiced fruits, nuttiness, ground coffee, chocolate, dry sherry, tobacco leaves, and cocoa.
