- Nose
- Fresh peach and guava, toasted almond, a hint of peppery oak, subtle peat smoke intertwined with sweet tropical fruit, warm vanilla, and soft oak, citrus lemon spice, bitter almond, oranges, apricots, subtle curl of smoke or perhaps a whiff of leather, vanilla, ash and soot, candied bacon, burnt sugar, brown butter, wine-dipped cigars, berries and apples.
- Palate
- Oily barley leading to earthy peat smoke, new leather richness, balanced by zesty orchard fruit, rich, full, and layered, creamy mango, citrus oils, honeyed malt, and a clean thread of peat that lifts the flavors without overpowering them, chocolate, coffee, oily and well-rounded, fruity, cinnamon, tobacco, leather, and tar, salt and pepper, brown sugar, chocolate, coffee, smoked meat.
- Finish
- Quite long, with hot pepper once again developing alongside vanilla and fruit, long, warming, and gently smoky, with lingering fruit sweetness and a polished touch of oak, fabulous, lightly peated with a hint of ginger spice, medium-long, dominated by peat and apples.
