- Nose
- Clean and complex with multi-layers of dried fruit, nuttiness, and spices with some marzipan and vanilla touches. Red apples, lemongrass, raw leather, fresh cut wood, dark chocolate, almonds, sweet character, and a perfume element. Poached plums, stewed prunes, pressed raisins, sultanas, inky molasses, hint of tobacco and liquorice, dark and red fruits dusted with sweet spice.
- Palate
- Rich, oily, and full with pleasant dried fruit and spices that linger on, plus a hint of fine coffee. Big, enveloping, full of flavor, intensely sweet, dark chocolate sauce, cardamom, treacle tart, ginger spices, oily texture, and spicy raisin quality. Rich, robust with spicy red berries, sweet sherry, and a hot stew of plums and prunes drying to a heavy European wooded finish, with lingering raisins.
- Finish
- Long finish that features spiced fruits and a warming finish, sweet and dessert-y experience with more nuttiness and ground coffee as it fades away. Chilli heat, then rich & dry sherry, hint of malt, soft and fruity. Dry oak and lingering burnt dried fruit and spice.
