Description

Kilchoman, which came online in 2005, was the first distillery to be built on Islay for 124 years and has garnered a sterling reputation. This 2022 Fèis Ìle limited release is Kilchoman's first ever 16-year-old bottling, produced from a vatting of twelve casks.

Nose
Creamy citrus sweetness with layers of cooked apples, pears, plums, nutmeg, candy floss, and light peat smoke. Notes of vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, and baking bread are also present.
Palate
A masterful balance of festive spices, fresh vanilla, tropical fruit, and smouldering peat smoke. Flavors of milk ice lollies, Caramac bars, lavender, honey, nutmeg, ash, tobacco, vanilla, light oak, buttery popcorn, strawberry, pumpkin pie, and warm baking spices.
Finish
Dried mango and apricots fading into BBQ smoke, with a lasting mouth-coating honey sweetness. Dark chocolate and wine gums, offering a sweet smoke that is tantalizing and slow to fade.
