A Campbeltown malt distillery that originally operated between 1872 and 1925. The site was acquired by J&A Mitchell in 2000 and re-opened four years later after extensive renovation and rebuilding. As the distillery name was still trademarked by a former owner, its single malt is sold as Kilkerran. The brand name used by J&A Mitchell & Co to market single malt produced at the Glengyle distillery. This is a distillery-only bottling, selected by the distillery manager Stuart Robertson, and was previously only available at 'The Tasting Room' at the distillery.
