Description

Kinglake Distillery O'Grady's Stand is a signature Australian single malt whisky produced in Victoria, Australia. It is crafted from scratch by owners Sam Lowe and Chantal Daniels, using local water from a mountain stream and a mash-bill of four different malts, including a heavily peated malt from the Scottish borders. The whisky is aged in small-format ex-bourbon barrels from Kentucky, re-coopered in Australia, and is natural, pure, and totally unfiltered.

Clean and aromatic with notes of malted barley, melted dark chocolate, floral hints, light fruit sweetness, baked apple, mandarin, toasted oak, and dark chocolate fudge, with a barest whiff of smoke.
Palate
Freshly cut grass, orchard fruits, dark chocolate, oily and bold, juicy malt, chocolate-dipped bacon, nuttiness, candied orange peel, white pepper, and smoke.
Finish
Long and oily with subtle peat, a chewy character, fudge, honey, barbecue smoke, rich and creamy, with heavy pepper and toasted oak in the back.
