Description

Kingsbarns Doocot is the new flagship single malt from Kingsbarns Distillery, replacing the previous Dream to Dram expression. This Lowland single malt is non-chill filtered and has natural color. It is matured in a combination of approximately 90% ex-Bourbon barrels and 10% STR (shaved, toasted, and re-charred) ex-Portuguese red wine barriques. The whisky is known for its sweet, fruity, and floral character, and is made from barley sourced less than six miles from the distillery. The name 'Doocot' refers to a traditional dovecote at the distillery, which is a significant architectural feature.
