Maltiply Tasting Profile
Nose
Intense and expressive with aromas of ripe apple, pear, and citrus. Fairly pungent at first sniff, opening up with a lemon/lime/vanilla blend. Light-flavored, but fruity, young and grainy.
Palate
Very powerful and concentrated. Sweet malt, creamy vanilla, and juicy fruit blend with peppery spices and a distinct yet well-integrated oak influence. The high alcohol content provides plenty of energy and depth, without becoming harsh. After adding water, it eases down and shows more stewed fruity notes.
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering fruitiness, soft sweetness and a firm, slightly drying oak finish. Still biting but fruit is back in the presence of sweeter fruit notes than the citrus notes it started with. With water, the uncooked flour note is gone and the stewed fruit pie wins some momentum.
