A Japanese whisky distillery originally founded in 1985 by Hombo Shuzo Co. It was initially only operational for seven years, however rising demand for the company's Mars blends in the 21st century inspired it to re-open the the site in 2011. Its single malt brand is named Komagatake. A brand of Japanese blended and single malt whiskies from Hombo Shuzo Co. It was first introduced in 1998 and bott ... The Mars Shinshu Distillery, located in the Nagano Alps, is Japan's highest whisky distillery, known for its cool climate and soft, granite-filtered water.
