Description
A malt distillery that was operational for less than a decade. It was built in 1966 by William Grant & Sons and was located within its Girvan grain complex until a need for expansion saw it dismantled again in 1975. Bottlings of its single malt are incredibly rare. Formerly the premium label in the portfolio of independent bottler, Gordon & MacPhail. The range was reserved for the company's oldest... This bottling of the closed distillery, Ladyburn, was released by Gordon & MacPhail for their Rare Old series. Ladyburn started in 1966 and was closed in 1975, being fully dismantled in the 1980s. This limited window of operation, just 9 years, means vintage releases and really any spirit from the distillery is a rare sight!
