Description

The Lagavulin Distillers Edition is a collection of master-craftsmanship, with each cask individually selected and perfectly matched to the character of the single malts. This expression undergoes a two-part maturation process, first in American and European oak refill casks, followed by a second maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and charred American oak casks with heavily toasted new AO ends. This elaborate double cask maturation creates a complex, multi-layered character, combining the typical Islay aroma of peat smoke with the seductive sweetness of sherry, adding greater depth and complexity to the whisky.
