Description
Originally founded by Paul Currie, the Lakes Distillery is situated in the Lake District (as the name would suggest) as part of a converted old Victorian cattle farm and it takes its inspiration from the stunning landscape that surrounds it. The technology and hardware are state-of-the-art but the methods are as traditional as always in what they call a "holistic whisky making" process. The Quatrefoil Collection explores the impact of different cask varieties and sherry types on The Lakes' house style. This 'Hope' expression was matured exclusively in first-fill Spanish oak Oloroso and PX hogsheads.
