Description

A complex and mysterious limited-edition single malt from The Lakes distillery's Whiskymaker's Editions series, Infinity was matured in a combination of oloroso, Palo Cortado, fino and Manzanilla sherry casks until it was bottled in late 2021. This English single malt is non-chill filtered and has natural colour. It is a rich and intense whisky designed to inspire thought, offering a unique drinking experience.

Nose
Deep aromas of dark dried fruits (raisins, sultanas, currants) and caramel, alongside toasted oak, walnuts, hazelnuts, orange oil, peanut brittle, and a hint of black treacle. Also notes of polished oak, incense sticks, cocoa nibs, salinity, minerality, toasted rye bread, dates, damp forest, spice, and musk.
Palate
Rich, decadent, and viscous with exquisite ex-sherry cask influence. Dark and sweet dried fruits (raisins, sultanas, currants, candied orange), toffee, caramel, treacle tart, milk chocolate. Evolving nutty notes (walnut, hazelnut, brazil nuts) with a toasted and drying quality. Warming woody and baking spices including cinnamon, all-spice, mace, and clove.
Finish
Long and fruity, with dried fruit and rich sweetness slowly fading. Develops warmth and dryness, led by nutty and spicy characteristics.
