The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) was founded in Edinburgh in 1983. This is a 20-year-old Laphroaig single malt whisky, distilled in 1995 and bottled by SMWS as release 29.169, named 'Beach bonfires, creels and boats'. It was aged in a refill ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength of 56.5% ABV, with an outturn of 205 bottles.
