Description

This is the second release in Laphroaig's limited-edition "The Wall Collection", titled "Rope". Each of the 200 bottles is hand-painted by London illustrator Laura Carlin with the exact paint from Laphroaig's iconic Warehouse No.1. This 39-year-old Islay single malt was matured in Oloroso Sherry seasoned European oak hogsheads and finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry seasoned European oak butts. The "Rope" theme is inspired by the journey of sherry casks to the distillery via puffer boats, symbolizing the connection between the world of sherry and Islay. The liquid was created in the 1980s, a period of significant changes and renovations for the distillery.
