Description

Patience characterizes this 19-year-old Ledaig: After almost two decades in a Refill Butt, it combines maritime wildness with timeless elegance. The Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull created this single malt from malted barley, distilled October 2006. A single cask preserved the balance between the original distillery character and the influence of the wood. The independent bottler "The Single Malts of Scotland" secured this rarity: Only 636 bottles were produced. An unadulterated testament to Scottish island tradition that breathes the raw soul of the Hebrides.

Nose
Deep, earthy peat smoke, accompanied by a distinctive maritime salt note.
Palate
Oily texture, carrying aromas of sweet toffee, ripe apricot and tart orange peel. The 19-year maturation has harmoniously integrated the strong smoke and created space for nuances of dried fruits and fine spices.
Finish
The finish is long-lasting and dry, characterized by oak and a final greeting of peat fire.
