Description

Legent Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a unique collaboration between Jim Beam's seventh-generation Master Distiller Fred Noe and House of Suntory's Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo. It starts as a Kentucky Straight Bourbon, aged in newly charred white oak barrels, with portions then finished in California red wine and sherry casks. These finished bourbons are meticulously blended with additional straight bourbon to create a complex and balanced spirit that marries American distilling heritage with Japanese blending artistry.

Nose
Complex and fruit-forward with notes of currant, cherry, plum, citrus, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla, and oak, complemented by hints of ginger, sandalwood, and leather.
Palate
Silky and rich, featuring caramel, floral notes, marmalade, and chewy rye spice, evolving into dark cherry jam, stewed plums, vanilla, and buttery brown sugar, with a subtle nuttiness and resiny notes from sherry casks.
Finish
Medium to long, with lingering notes of chocolate-covered cherries, black fruits, and sugary cereals, balanced by nutmeg, oak spices, and a touch of salty, nutty, and tannic characteristics from the Oloroso sherry.
