Description
The Lindores Abbey Friar John Cor Chapter 3 is the third release in the Friar John Cor series from Lindores Abbey Distillery. This bold and complex limited-edition single malt is bottled at natural cask strength of 60.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with no added color. It is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon Casks, Amontillado, and PX Sherry Butts, followed by a finish in ex-refill sherry butts, showcasing a rich, full-bodied Lowland style. The series pays homage to Friar John Cor, who made aqua vitae in 1494 at Lindores Abbey, the site of the first recorded mention of whisky in Scotland.
