Sweet sherry aromas mingle with brown sugar, candied peel, cinnamon rolls, nutmeg, treacle, cherry, and hints of baked apple and stewed raisin.
Palate
Smooth and layered with stewed fruits, dark chocolate, roasted hazelnut, chewy raisins, dates, stem ginger, chocolate sauce, grassy malt, warming pepper, cinnamon, clove, tangy blackcurrant, sweet cherry jam, and candied citrus fruit.
Finish
A long finish of warming spice, charred oak, oily walnut, sawdust, and a nutty edge balancing lingering oak notes.
