This Lion 2016 Malt Whisky sold at our online auction for GBP 70. Nose
An effortlessly delightful nose with far more complexity than meets the nostril… lush, sumptuous and fulsome. Notes of chocolate rum raisins, wood polish, very molasses, very sweet thick burnt caramel.
Palate
Silky yet structured, it opens with caramel-toffee and warm baking spice—think cinnamon and white pepper—before red-fruit warmth emerges. A brief maltiness gives way to assertive, semi-dry nutty tannins.
Finish
Long, gently warming and ever-so-slightly tannic, it leaves an echo of honeyed sweetness, dried fruits and a fresh Mediterranean breeze.
