Description

An old Lowland malt distillery with a tumultuous history. First established in 1772, it operated in fits and starts until its final closure in 1994 and it has since been lost for good following a fire ten years later. Today the brand and remaining stock are owned by the Loch Lomond Group. *

Nose
Sweet, marsepan, banana, grassy and floral, sherry, a bit of melon, fresh hay.
Palate
Very fresh, orange peel, grassy, woody, it descends sweetly with a bit of a punch on the tongue, touch of bitterness but not too much.
Finish
Medium length. Nice creamy and pleasant sweetness. A bit of bitter oak completes the story.
