Description

The Littlemill 29 Year Old Private Cellar Edition is the third release in the Private Cellar Collection from the now silent Littlemill distillery. This limited edition whisky, with only 600 bottles released, was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2019 at 47.3% ABV. It was first matured in refill bourbon casks and then finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry and Limousin oak casks. The selection and aging process were overseen by Loch Lomond master blender Michael Henry, emphasizing the traditional Lowland 'floral' style with a focus on wood character. Each bottle comes in a bespoke Glencairn crystal decanter, encased in a presentation box, and includes a 5cl miniature and a piece of an original Littlemill cask.

Floral notes of honeysuckle and rose mix with layers of spice, cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by crème caramel and blossom honey with delicate orange. Ripe mango, candied orange, rose petals, grassy element, raspberry candy cane.
Palate
Silky mouthfeel with crisp green apple, ripe pear and kiwi fruit, before a caramel sweetness balanced by lime juice and orange marmalade citrus notes. Creamy caramel, fudge, candied oranges, hint of strawberry.
Finish
Long with toasted oak and waves of warming spice, thick, creamy vanilla and lingering green fruits. Mellow spice, gentle oak, earthy hints, freshly cut grass.
