Littlemill 1991-2015 Gordon & Macphail Rare Old is a limited-edition single malt from the closed Littlemill distillery, bottled by Gordon & Macphail for the Rare Old range. The whisky was distilled in 1991, just before the distillery closed, and bottled in 2015 at 46%. It was matured for around 24 years. Littlemill was known for its light, fruity, and subtly complex spirit. This expression was laid down to mature in oak casks for over two decades before there were just 511 bottles produced.

Nose
Vanilla, strawberry, caramel, beeswax, and a touch of oak. Also, redcurrant, juicy apricot, peach, almond, cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa powder, summer berries, dried grass, hay meadow, green tea, and faint summer honey.
Palate
Sweet with notes of heather honey, orange marmalade, cranberry, kiwi, and a milk chocolate edge. Also, buttery mouthfeel, white pepper, pressed apple, zesty lime, chocolate, ripe honeydew melon, rhubarb, gooseberry, malty sweetness, shortbread, kitchen herbs, tarragon, peppermint, robust spiciness, and oak.
Finish
Hints of apricot, peach, and spices. Extremely long and dry with loads of pepper, peppermint tea, menthol, cinnamon, and green wood. Medium in length with tropical fruits.
