Description
An old Lowland malt distillery with a tumultuous history. First established in 1772, it operated in fits and starts until its final closure in 1994 and it has since been lost for good following a fire ten years later. Today the brand and remaining stock are owned by the Loch Lomond Group. Scott's Selection was a sought-after brand of independently bottled single malt and single grain Scotch. The casks were selected by Robert Scott, former master blender at Speyside Distillers Company and bottled by its sister company, Alexander Muir & Son.
