Description

Loch Lomond Distillery Edition #5 'Orchard & Vineyard' is an 8-year-old single malt whisky, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024 at cask strength 59.1% ABV. This release was distilled using 100% unpeated malted barley in Loch Lomond's unique Straight Neck stills, with a high collection strength of 85%. Master Blender Michael Henry opted for a combination of Chardonnay wine yeast and distillers yeast during fermentation, amplifying orchard fruit notes. It was matured for 8 years in 1st fill American Oak casks, resulting in a fruit-forward single malt. This is a small batch release of 600 bottles, non-chill filtered with natural color.
