Description

First founded in 2017, Global Whisky Limited are a Glasgow based independent bottler who specialise in small batch releases under their four whisky brands, these brands are The Red Cask Co, Concept 8, OLO & Auld Goonsy's. They pride themselves on selecting the very best whisky for their bottling's. All of their casks are sampled by a tasting panel of ex-distillery managers. Only when the spirit has been approved is it bottled. This is a 10 year old Lochindaal, a heavily peated single malt distilled at Bruichladdich.

Nose
Smouldering sawdust and sea breeze waft beside chocolate and salted vanilla. Intense, gritty and oaky, with hints of honeysuckle, vanilla, citrus, banana, apricot, salt, marzipan, malt, barley and more salt. Camp fire smoke, toasted marshmallow and orange peels.
Palate
Peppery spice and oily smoke, a touch medicinal with a sweet balance of green apple, apricot, and oaky vanilla. Intense and oaky start, with almost French oak tannins. Apricot, apple, honeysuckle, malt, barley, vanilla and toffee. Earth, wood spice, tar, dark fruit and gritty tannins and peat. Apricots, oak, seaweed, smoky.
Finish
Lingering whisps of earthy iodine, floral honey, and a touch of citrus zest. Masked, gritty, tannic, alcoholic and peaty finish, which is so, so salty, it almost sucks the moisture from your mouth. Marzipan and vanilla after-taste. Peach, dry and lingering pipe tobacco smoke.
