Description

Originally a South Ayrshire cattle farm, Lochlea pivoted to barley growing with the aim of establishing a distillery and finally began producing spirit in 2018. An independent and family-owned distillery, Lochlea benefits from the expertise of ex-Laphroaig distillery manager John Campbell, who oversees the production of this elegant and fruity spirit. Lochlea is steeped in history, the barley is grown on the Lochlea farm, and this Fallow Edition First Crop is the third in an annual series of limited seasonal bottlings, reflecting the season of autumn. It is matured entirely in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 46% ABV.
