Description
The First Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Lochlea, a family-owned distillery in the heart of Ayrshire which started distilling in 2018. The most famous Scot of all time, our national poet Robert Burns, lived and worked at Lochlea during his formative years (1777-1784). This inaugural release was launched on January 25, 2022, coinciding with Burns Night. It was matured in first-fill Bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and is part of a limited edition of 7,385 bottles. The whisky embodies Lochlea's 'field-to-bottle' ethos, using barley grown on the Lochlea farm.
