Description
A former Highland distillery that was constructed by Joseph Hobbs in 1957 within the structure of a former brewery, first opened in 1786. Only operational until 1992, it mostly produced malt whisky for blending although a Lochside brand was briefly marketed. It also produced grain whisky in its early years. This particular expression is a 22-year-old single malt, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2003 by WM. Cadenhead in their Authentic Collection limited Single Cask Bottling Series. The distillery was mothballed in 1992 and demolished in 2005, making this a rare piece of whisky history.
