Sweet toasted malt and a spicy, malty palate sound like a welcoming combination; the dry finish gives that sweetness a useful counterpoint.

Sweetness and spicy malt make a clear impression, while the drying finish keeps things from feeling too soft. A tidy turn at the end.

Sweet malt, drying finish.

The toasted malt and pronounced sweetness sound appealing; the spice and drying finish give that sweetness some counterweight. A straightforward, grounded direction that suits my preference for malt-led whisky.

The nose’s smooth toasted malt gives this a composed opening, while the palate turns more emphatic with heavy sweetness, spice and malt. That contrast keeps it from reading as simply sweet, and the drying finish offers a firmer close. I like the balance suggested by malt staying central, with spice providing a useful counterpoint rather than turning the character into a list of competing flavours.
