Description

A Speyside malt distillery with important connections to a number of blended Scotch brands. Today it is part of the Chivas Brothers division of Pernod Ricard who, despite its needing much of its stock for the likes of Chivas Regal and Ballantine's, also market its single malt. This Longmorn 1987 26 Year Old was bottled in 2013 by Cadenhead's as part of their Small Batch series. Cadenhead's is Scotland's oldest independent bottler, established in 1842.

Fantastic sweetness, rich, deep, and complex with fruits like apples, pears, oranges, citrus, white cherries, and pineapple. Notes of syrup, sweet candy, vanilla, honey, lemon peel, and dried heather.
Palate
Rich, thick, sugary, and syrupy with fruits and spices, particularly white pepper. Malty, chocolatey, with vanilla bean, clementines, limes, and grapefruit, alongside an acidic, chalky sharpness and salt.
Finish
Long, warm, rich, and sweet with noticeable white pepper. Citrusy tingle, vanilla simple syrup, malt, eucalyptus, and lingering lime and grapefruit. Can also be a little soapy.
