Description

A Canadian whisky brand that is part of the Northern Border Collection from Pernod Ricard's Corby Spirit & Wine division. It is made at the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery in Ontario and despite being discontinued after launch in 1998, proved highly popular and returned in 2012. This 'Dark Oak' expression is a bigger, bolder version of the original Lot No. 40, crafted from 100% rye and distilled in a traditional copper pot still. It undergoes double maturation, first in new American oak casks (char #2) and then finished in heavily charred American oak casks (char #4).
