Nose
stewed fruits, raisins, Christmas cake, baking spice, toffee, leather, candied pecans, maple syrup, tobacco.
Palate
Rich, decadent. Oily but a touch thin. Taste - almost like cognac, baking spice, maraschino cherry syrup, oak, toffee, cinnamon raisin oatmeal (in a good way), Seville oranges, a bit of tar, cigar tobacco.
Finish
warming. The spice, dried fruit, toffee and tobacco notes linger on and on. Almost astringent but somehow sweet. A very slight hint of sulphur.
